~Blob game~

Here's more detailed instructions to installing the "blob" game on your site in 5 easy steps...
1) This link below is the link to the Flash file(the blob game). Click on the link and a new window will open. After the game loads, in your browser, click on "save as" and save the file as "blob.swf" to whatever directory on your computer you want... ~click here now~

2) This link is a link to the game code in a text file. Do the same as before. Click on the link and a new window will open with the code to the game. Then, save the file in the same directory as before. Save it as "blobcode.txt"... ~click here now~

3) After you have downloaded both files onto your computer, get your html page that you want to add the blob game to and open it in notepad. (You should make a back-up copy of your file just in case.) Then, click on the "blobcode.txt" file you just downloaded. It should also open in notepad.

4)At this point you should have two files open, your html page you want to add the game to and the blobcode txt file.

5) On the top of the blobcode page window, click on "edit" then "select all", then "copy". Now, go back to your html page and select where you want the blob game. With your mouse select where you want the game to go, right click your mouse and click on "paste". That should have inserted the code into your page. Save your page as html(or htm). Make sure your html page and the blob.swf file are in the same directory and click on your html file to see if it works.

If the game loads, then you're done!
You can now upload your files to your server. Make sure you put both files in the same directory and it should work.

If the game doesn't load don't worry about it, it's probably something really simple.
If when loading your html page if you just see a black rectangle where the game should be it's probably one of two things...
1. Did you name the swf file correctly? This is the game file, the first file you downloaded. You must name it "blob.swf", without the quotation marks. Name it blob.swf or it won't work. Many people spell it wrong so double check that to be sure.
2. Do you have both files in the same directory? Your html file and the blob.swf file have to be in the same directory or your page won't be able to find the game.

If you want to test if you downloaded the code correctly, save the blobcode.txt file as blobcode.html then click on the file and see if the game loads correctly. If it loads then you've added it to your page incorrectly. Get your back-up html page and insert the code again.(steps 4-5)

some other things to check:
If the game seems to be there but doesn't load completely you probably didn't download the entire game. It should be about 56k. Go back to the first link and down-load it again.
If when you load your page you don't see the game or black rectangle, then you've probably installed the code wrong. The easiest thing for you to do is start over with your back-up file.
It could be something really minor but instead of going through everything it could be, it's easier to just start over. Use your back-up copy of your html file and down-load the two files again.
